SEATTLE’S MOST FASHIONABLE gathered last weekend for Bellevue Fashion Week’s Posh Party Trend runway show, a one-night roundup of this season’s biggest looks, represented by fall pieces from shops throughout the Bellevue Collection.
The evening included lots of teeny hors d’oeuvres, endless pink cosmos topped with neon green lime wedges, and some impressive fundraising for local nonprofit Treehouse: Bellevue Collection marketing VP Jennifer Leavitt says this year’s show raked in $35,000 in donations from ticket sales.
In case you missed your opportunity to watch attractive people strut down a runway to the tune of a Harry Styles bop, or you just want someone telling you what to wear, here are some of our favorite runway looks of the night.
Black Faux Leather Moto Jacket, Express
$228
Leather is back in a big way this season, and everyone needs that one jacket that makes them feel like a badass (with a lot of pockets). This black faux leather take adds oomph to a button-down shirt on a night out, or dresses up a simple tee.
Green Suit Jacket and Suit Pants, Zara
$219 for the set
According to Bellevue Fashion Week, teal is officially a fall color, and we couldn’t be more here for it. This matching set works great as a monochromatic outfit, or mix and match with other bold colors or even some neutrals for a more playful look.
INC International Concepts Shyn Fringe Boot, Macy's
$100 $200
Some boots were made for walkin’, but this maximalist twist on the cowgirl trend was made to make a statement. Take the party with you wherever you go and get compliments till the cows come home.
Plaid Wool-Blend Top Coat, Express
$348
This is the kind of coat you see on someone and immediately become obsessed with finding. Not least because the plaid pattern, made from recycled wool, will set you apart from the mass of black quilted puffers this winter. Elevate a simple pair of jeans and a sweater, or add some warmth to a classic suit.
Faux-Leather Front Ponte Leggings, Chico's
$80
More leather, seriously? Yes, seriously. And it's in pant form this time, too. This pair updates the '80s mainstay with a knit backing that removes the issue of feeling restricted and squeaky every time you move.
Polo Ralph Lauren Men's Varick Corduroy Pants, Macy's
$125
Corduroy is a fall staple, but most stick with basic brown or black. These teal pants offer the same relaxed, cozy vibe, plus a little something extra. Bold colors are very in this fall, and while it might seem risky, this one easily blends with the season’s whites, burnt oranges, and browns.
Metallic Plaid Gold Chain Tweed Jacket, Express
$198
Don’t get so swept away in the faux leathers and bold colors that you forget to add a little sparkle. This tweed jacket from Express brings metallic glisten to a classic material and silhouette.
Sussex Quilted Vest with PrimaLoft, J.Crew
$118
One of the most important qualities in outerwear is versatility, and boy does J. Crew deliver. With several deep, corduroy-lined pockets (including an interior one), this light piece is all you need to tackle transition weather. When days get chillier, slip it under another coat for added warmth.
Laila Dip-Dye Cable-Knit Sweater, Splendid
$188
Nothing says "fall" quite like pulling on a chunky sweater the second a crisp chill bites your nose. Splendid’s ombre cable-knit sweaters add a little extra flair to the simple pleasure of sitting by the fire with a hot chocolate in hand and a generic Hallmark movie on screen.
Side Pleated Narrow Skirt, Uniqlo
$40
A pair of chunky loafers, a bit of ankle, and a pleat in your skirt: The perfect combination of old-school cool and modern sophistication.
Willa Blazer in Italian City Wool, J.Crew
$278
Everyone should’ve taken a note from Elle Woods back in 2001. Pink is always a good choice; in the form of a daring and sleek single-button blazer, it's one of the best ways to make a statement. What, like it’s hard?
Polo Ralph Lauren Men's RL Letterman Jacket, Macy's
$198
There’s something about a letterman jacket that makes us feel cooler than we have a right to. Ralph Lauren keeps things classic but sleek with navy blue fleece, and bold monogram lettering.
Cargo Pants, Oak and Fort
$88
Cargo pants have come a long way from their origins of the rough and tumble life. Today, they’re among the most popular everyday styles. If you lean toward a more polished look, try Oak and Fort’s clean and detailed take.
Adina Jacket, Splendid
$228
Blazers are everywhere. Casual, dressy, shoulder pads or no, there are endless ways to turn on the modern blazer panache—but none feels more fall than the cozy addition of cable-knit sleeves.
Versace Medusa Platform Pump, Nordstrom Local
$1,575
Barbiecore has officially made its way into fall wardrobes, and these platform pumps hail straight from the Dreamhouse. A six-inch heel paired with a 2.5-inch base adds a showstopping accent to a simple going-out look, but reaches its full platform potential with a more retro, colorful fit.
Bar III Women's Printed Bustier Side-Slit Maxi Dress, Macy's
$90
Yes, florals are spring’s turf, but mixing bold prints with otherwise understated pieces and colors has become an emerging trend for fall. With a knee-high slit, a form-fitting bust, and ever-popular earthy neutral colors serving as a canvas for hot pink blossoms, this dress sends a message: Don’t cut botanical patterns out of your closet quite yet.
Schie Long Sleeve Jacquard Jumper, Ted Baker London
$195
This geometric wave sweater brings a more elevated look to the fall favorite crewneck sweater. Pair with dark jeans for a more dressed up vibe, or with your favorite pair of blue jeans for a more casual look.
Karl Lagerfeld Paris Women's Mixed Media Faux Leather Dress, Macy's
$170
Who said leather belongs to 1950s greasers? Today’s increasingly common cruelty-free version brings the style back sans harm, and in way more silhouettes. But don’t worry—the same edgy feeling imparted by a worn leather jacket lives on in this piece’s v-neck cut and studded waistline.
