Like stubborn Seattle weather with a mind of its own, Snoqualmie’s several bases each operate on their own schedules. Central usually goes the longest, and its last scheduled day is April 16, but additional days are always possible with enough snow. Closures at Alpental expand week by week starting March 21, first shuttering Tuesday, then Tuesday and Wednesday, and so on—but the steep runs will be available weekends until April 16. Nordic skiing is open weekends through the end of March. 

Stevens keeps the schedule straightforward: The resort is open from 9 to 4 every day until April 16, with night skiing done for the season. In addition, the 30 kilometers of groomed cross-country trails and 10 kilometers of marked snowshoe trails are open Thursday through Sunday, usually wrapping up mid-April.

Unlike other ski areas, Crystal doesn't advertise a predicted close date. However, its relatively high elevation often makes for open hours through the spring, often limited to its Green Valley area when the calendar approaches summer. Upcoming events include Pride in the Pow on March 17, the Crystal Ball Studio 62 dance party on March 25,  and a bikini downhill and easter egg hunt in April.

About 10 miles south of the Canadian border, Mount Baker hoards snow all winter. The ski area is open daily through April 9, then switches to a weekend schedule to finish off the season with lifts running Friday through Sunday until April 23. Historically, the mountain gets a couple dozen inches each April.

Despite conservative plans made early in the season, Wenatchee's ski area already knows there's a big enough base for extra days and bonus night skiing. Daily operations have been extended through April 9, which means the ski area will log more days this season than they've had in 25 years. On March 25, the Dummy Downhill sends homemade contraptions off a ski jump, with prizes for longest launch and most likely to survive.
